Which wallets work

Ferry works with any Solana wallet that implements the Wallet Standard and can sign both messages and versioned transactions. The Connect wallet dialog lists the ones installed in your browser. Phantom, Solflare and Backpack all qualify.

The sign-in signature

When you connect, Ferry asks your wallet to sign a short message. It names the site, the Solana network, the Ferry program and a one-time code, and it says in plain words that the signature doesn't authorize a transfer.

The signature starts a session in this browser that lasts 12 hours. Disconnecting ends it, and so does switching to another account in your wallet: payments are always signed by the account that signed in.

Approving payments

Every payment, deposit, withdrawal and cancellation is a transaction you approve in your wallet. An instant send asks once for a short sequence: the transactions that post the signed Pyth price, the payment itself, and one that returns the price account's rent to you.

Ferry checks what your wallet returns before sending anything. A wallet may set its own compute budget or add Lighthouse assertions; any other change to the payment, and Ferry doesn't send it.

Networks

The app shows the network it works on next to your wallet. Your wallet signs each transaction, and the app sends it to that network through its own connection.
