Send a payment
Step by step through the Send screen.
On this page
Set up the transfer
- Open Send in the app and connect your wallet.
- Type the amount under You send. The field shows your balance; Max fills in all of it.
- Choose the currency you pay in at the left end of the upper scale, and the one they receive at the left end of the lower scale. The two-bar button between them swaps the pair.
- Paste the recipient's Solana wallet address. My wallet fills in your own, to convert between your own tokens.
The figure under They receive, about is an estimate from the reference rate until you ask for a quote.
Read the quote
Select Get a quote. The slip on the right turns into an Instant quote:
| Row | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| You send | The exact amount that leaves your wallet |
| Pyth rate | The rate before the spread, from the signed price |
| Spread | The spread in basis points, and what it comes to in the token they receive |
| Lane | Instant, up to $10,000 |
| Quote holds for | Seconds left before you need a fresh quote |
| They receive | The exact amount written into the transaction |
The hairline under the button shortens as the quote ages.
Sign and send
- Select Sign and send. Your wallet asks you to approve a short sequence in one prompt.
- The steps on the slip move from Post the signed Pyth price to Pay the recipient, then Finalized.
- The slip confirms what the recipient received, with a link to the transaction.
If the quote no longer matches when the payment lands, Solana refuses the transaction and nothing moves. Request a new quote and sign again.
